Found in the obituary of Dick Wimmer, whose persistence is inspiring: The New York Times wrote that Dick called himself the most rejected published novelist in history. His book, Irish Wine, was rejected 162 times over 25 years. Finally, in 1989, Mercury House published Dick's book. It got positive reviews and led to two sequels. There's a famous quotation that too many people die with their song still inside them. Not Dick. He died on May 18 at the age of 74 knowing that he had achieved his dream. What's yours? Never give up.
